Gadchiroli Nov. 12 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli District Central Cooperative Bank (GDCCB) was honored with two awards for its excellent work in ‘Best Mobile App’ and ‘Best Investment’ in the financial year 2022-23 recently at the National Cooperative Banking Summit held in Goa.
District Central Co-operative Banks and Urban Co-operative Banks are honoured with national awards every year by the National Co-operative Banking Summit organized by Banking Frontiers.
The awards were presented to the bank officers by Goa’s Cooperation Minister Subhash Shirodkar in the presence of dignitaries. Mr. Satish Ayalwar, CEO, Sanjay Alampatlawar, General Manager of Accounts department and Harshvardhan Bhadke, Dy. General Manager of IT department received the awards.
While guiding on this occasion, Minister Shirodkar said that State Co-operative Banks, District Central Co-operative Banks and Primary Agricultural Co-operative Societies in the country have important contribution in the economic development of the country and due to the co-operative sector and their various activities, people at the grassroot level are benefiting from banking facilities.
The bank’s chairman Prachit Poreddiwar, vice-chairman Srihari Bhandariwar, honorary secretary Anant Salve directors of the bank, chief executive officer Satish Ailwar have thanked all the farmers, account holders of the bank, salaried employees, office bearers of cooperative societies, members and officers and employees of the bank for this achievement.
Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank has provided various facilities to the customers of the district in order to facilitate the latest information technology. Mobile banking facility was launched in the year 2018 for the customers of the bank. Through it 17, 500 account holders are availing the mobile banking facility.
Also bank account holders are doing 18 to 20 thousand transactions daily through UPI transactions. Similarly, the National Co-operative Committee has honoured the Bank with this award for the return on investment and the progress made in the financial year 2022-23. Notably, the bank has also been honoured with the Vaikunth Mehta Outstanding District Central Cooperative Bank and Banco Blue Ribbon Award for its outstanding performance in the financial year 2022-23.
