Gadchiroli July 26 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli District Central Cooperative Bank (GDCC) has been honoured with the best state level district bank award for its outstanding performance and banking services at a programme held at Mumbai recently.
On the occasion of the 44th foundation day of the National Bank for Agriculture and Development (NABARD), the District Central Banks and various operational cooperatives in the state who have done excellent work were honoured with various awards for their excellent work.
GDCC Bank was presented with this award for its excellent work in the financial year 2023-24 on all the criteria set by the Reserve Bank and NABARD, namely deposits, loans, business turnover, recovery, profit, network, loans, NPA ratio. The award was received by the bank’s CEO Satish Ailwar from the hands of Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol.
The program organized at the Yashwantrao Chavan Development Administration Academy (Yashada) in Pune was attended by Pravin Darade, Additional Secretary, Cooperative Department, Govardhan Rawat, Deputy Executive Director, NABARD Head Office, Mumbai, Deepak Tavere, Commissioner, Cooperation, Ms. Rashmi Darade, Chief General Manager, Maharashtra Regional Office of NABARD, and other dignitaries.
‘Cooperation is the soul of the rural economy, and if India is to be developed by 2047, the rural economy needs to be empowered. The role of cooperatives and NABARD will be important to achieve this goal,’ asserted Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Muralidhar Mohol, while speaking on this occasion.
Gadchiroli District Central Cooperative Bank is distributing crop loans to farmers through 254 Service and Tribal cooperative societies through its 57 branches spread out in the district. Similarly, the bank has provided various state-of-the-art digital facilities to the customers. It has also provided various modern facilities to its customers.
The bank’s Chairman Pranchit Poreddiwar, Dy. Chairman Srihari Bhandari, Honorary Secretary Anant Salve, CEO Satish Ailwar, the entire board of directors expressed their gratitude to the bank’s account holders, customers, office bearers and members of all cooperative societies for their cooperation in getting this honour.
