Gadchiroli Jan. 12 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli district has stood third in the state in health programmes implementation ranking-2024.

Gadchiroli is known as the most remote district in the state of Maharashtra. The Health Department is constantly striving to ensure that the citizens of the remote and hilly forest-covered villages get the benefits of health services on time.

Recently, the ranking of implementation of health programs for November 2024 was published by the Director of Health Services, Mumbai. In this, Gadchiroli district is in the top three. The ranking is prepared at the state level based on the indicators of the National Health Program. For the last six months, the District Health Department has been in the top five in the state. This includes various health schemes and preventive health service indices such as services provided during pregnancy, vaccination, etc.

The National Health Mission Program and health-related programs are implemented through the Zilla Parishad Health Department. In this, the Commissioner’s Office evaluates the work done in 64 health indicators such as family welfare surgery, pregnant mother registration, maternal and child care, child vaccination, National Non-Communicable Disease Control Program, National Tuberculosis Eradication Program, adolescent boy and girl health, malaria eradication program, safe and institutional delivery etc.

While providing health services in remote and ultra-remote areas, many obstacles have to be faced. Even in such a situation, this has been possible due to the efforts of various health program coordinators in the district, district level supervisory officers, district mother and child care officers, taluka health officers, medical officers, community health officers, health workers, Asha Workers etc., said District Health Officer Dr. Pratap Shinde.

Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh and Acting Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Bhuyar have congratulated everyone for this achievement.
