Gadchiroli Aug. 9 (District Correspondent) Various programmes were organized by the police department to mark the Tribals Day. A bike rally was organized from Police Ground to Indira Chowk. A total of 550 police officers and jawans participated in this. The rally was concluded at MIDC grounds. Superintendent of Police Mr. Nilotpal and other senior officers of MIDC were mainly present. Trees were planted on the ground and 10,000 trees were also planted in all sub-divisions as well as police station level in the district.
‘Swayansiddh’ (Karate) training camp was organized in the Shahid Pandu Alam Auditorium in the police headquarters area to encourage the youths living in remote areas. A total of 82 young women from the remote Bhamragarh, Etapalli and Hedri sub-divisions have registered their participation for the said training which will be held for 10 days.
The program was inaugurated by SP Shri. Nilotpal and all the participating trainees were distributed Karate kits by dignitaries. The coach of Sports Academy Prashik Raipure and Sejal Gaddewar demonstrated about self-defence. Mr. Nilotpal in his orientation speech said that Karate is very important training.
Various other programmes like tribal dances, awareness camps, sports and other contests etc were also organized in police stations all over the district. Superintendent of Police Mr. Nilotpal, Additional SP (Administration Kumar Chinta, Additional SP Aheri M. Ramesh, DySP (Campaign) Vishal Nagargoje, Mr. Yogesh Shende, Assistant Commissioner, District Skill Development Department Kailas Bolgamwar, Director, RCET Gadchiroli were present in these programmes.
All Sub-Divisional Police Officers, In-Charge Officers and jawans as well as Officer-in-Charge Civil Action Branch Dhananjay Patil, PSI Chandrakant Shelke and others workedtirelessly for the success of the said programme.
