Gadchiroli May 13 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli Nagar Parishad has started water kiosks at six places in the city to provide relief to the citizens during the summer. This water tanks will be filled daily with fresh and cold water that has been sterilized.
Smart Bazar Chowk, in front of Nagar Parishad, near traffic control post in Indira Gandhi Chowk, near Chamorshi Road bus stop, Weekly Market Kargil Chowk and in front of Nagar Parishad Ekta Park are the six spots where these water kiosks have been started.
The water kiosks were officially inaugurated in front of the main entrance of Gadchiroli Nagar Parishad under the guidance of Chief Officer Suryakant Pidurkar. Deputy CO Ravindra Bhandarvar, Electrical Engineer Anand Khune, Sanitation and Water Supply Engineer Sujit Khamankar, Fire Officer Anil Govardhan, City Coordinator Revanath Gadve, Vaibhav Kagdelwar were prominently present.
The Municipal Council Chief Officer Suryakant Pidurkar has appealed the citizens to use these water kiosks properly and avoid wastage of water. He has also appealed to the citizens to take care to avoid heatstroke as the heat of the summer heats up.
