Gadchiroli district records 75.26 percent voting in Assembly elections.

Gadchiroli Nov. 22 (District Correspondent) An average of 75.26 percent voting has been recorded in the three constituencies of Gadchiroli district for the assembly general elections which were conducted on Nov. 20 last. Armori assembly constituency recorded the highest 76.97 percent voting followed by 74.92 percent in Gadchiroli and 73.89 percent in Aheri assembly constituency.

In Armori constituency, there were a total of 2,62,771 voters, including 1,31,060 male voters, 1,31,710 women and 1 transgender, out of which a total of 2,02,267 voters, including 1,02,720 men, 99,546 women and 1 transgender, exercised their right to vote.

In Gadchiroli assembly constituency, there were a total of 1,54,610 male voters, 1,52,610 women and 3 transgenders, a total of 3,07,223 voters. Of these, 1,16,704 male voters, 1,13,469 female voters and 1 transgender person, a total of 2,30,174 voters exercised their right to vote.

In Aheri assembly constituency, there were a total of 1,26,481 male voters, 1 1,24,974 female voters and 6 transgender persons, a total of 2,51,461 voters. Of these, 95,511 male voters, 90,281 female voters and 3 transgender persons, a total of 1,85,795 voters exercised their right to vote.

There were a total of 8,21,455 voters in the district, including 4,12,151 male voters, 4,09,294 female voters and 10 transgender persons. Out of them, a total of 6,18,236 voters, including 3,14,935 men, 3,03,296 women and 5 transgenders, exercised their right to vote.
