Gadchiroli District Central Co. Bank gets internet banking license from RBI.

Gadchiroli Nov. 13 (District Correspondent) Reserve Bank of India has granted internet banking license to Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank, which has created a unique position not only in the state but also among the district co-operative banks in the country in the last four decades.

The GDCCB got this news on its foundation day. Interestingly, Gadchiroli Zilla Co-operative Bank has become the only Co-operative Bank in the state which has got internet banking license. Due to this facility, the customers of the bank will get facility of 24 hours banking transactions through internet.

There are 31 District Central Cooperative Banks in Maharashtra. Till now no District Central Co-operative Bank has received such a license to conduct internet banking transactions. While granting this license, the Reserve Bank of India grants license only to those banks which fulfil the financial condition of the bank, NPA ratio of the bank, e-criteria etc.

As the Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank has fulfilled all these criteria, this bank was the first in the state to get this license, Bank President Pranchit Arvind Poreddiwar has informed through a press release.

As on 31st March 2024, the bank has reached the business of 3700 crores. Net NPA of the bank is zero percent. As GDCC Bank has received the license to transact through internet banking, 24 hours banking services will be available to the customers. All types of bank facilities will be available to the customers through internet banking without coming to the branch.

Mr. Pranchit Poreddiwar expressed his gratitude to all the farmers, account holders, officials of cooperative societies, women’s self-help groups, board of directors of the bank, bank officers, employees and well-wishers of the district for this achievement.

Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank has provided the convenience of banking transactions with state-of-the-art digital facilities to 4.35 lakh account holders in the district through 57 branches spread in the district. The bank has already provided RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, mobile banking RuPay Kisan Credit Card to farmers and RuPay Debit Card to other customers.
