Gadchiroli Feb. 18 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli district, blessed with the beauty of nature, is very rich in terms of culture, language and literature. Now the district executive of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh has started functioning here and all possible cooperation will be extended to the literary and neo-litterateurs in the district, assured Pradeep Date, president of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh.
A new district executive of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh was inaugurated recently at Swami Vivekananda Junior College here. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Shyam Moharkar, central member of VSS. The chief guests were VSS General Secretary Vilas Manekar, literary figures Shyam Madhav Dhond, Indrajit Orke, Tirtharaj Kapgate, Satish Chichghare, President of Gadchiroli District Branch Dr. Narendra Arekar, Secretary Ramchandra Wasekar were prominently present.
Mr. Pradeep Date further said that Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh is a very experienced and renowned organization in the field of literature. Many writers have come forward through this and have provided literature to the readers. Since the office bearers and members of this district executive committee are diligent and enthusiastic, this district will be prominent in the literary world, he also said.
Dr. Shyam Moharkar gave information about the progress of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh and its contribution to the literary movement in Vidarbha. Mr. Shyam Madhav Dhond, while presenting the poems of many poets, said that the writers of this district will definitely become famous. He also appealed for good reading.
Dr. Narendra Arekar, in his introduction, said that the establishment of a branch of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh in Gadchiroli district has created enthusiasm in the literary world here and said that this executive will do a good job under the guidance of the elders.
Mr. Pramod Borsare mentioned the helping hands given by Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh to the poets and writers at the grassroots level. Other dignitaries also expressed their timely thoughts on this occasion. Ms. Gauri Talwalkar moderated the programme while the vote of thanks was given by Ramchandra Vasekar.
