Gadchiroli Dec. 29 (District correspondent) The 138 th Foundation Day of Indian National Congress was celebrated at District Congress Office here the other day.
The Congress flag was hoisted at the hands of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Gadchiroli District Incharge Dr. Namdev Kirsan on the grounds of the DCC office to mark the occasion.
Addressing the party workers Dr. Kirsan said the Congress Party has contributed a lot in the independence of the country. It has also played a vital role in the development of the country. The party leaders beginning from Jawaharlal Nehru to Rajiv Gandhi have sacrificed their lives for the country and the organization has still been working for the people. All the workers should make sincere efforts for the strengthening of the party, he appealed.
The other leaders also spoke on the party programmes and highlighted its role in the freedom struggle as well as progress of the country expressing the need of reaching the party to every house and making it stronger.
