Gadchiroli Sept. 4 (District Correspondent) Under Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University Nashik, Vidyabharati College Kurkheda Study Center, had organized ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ under National Service Scheme initiative recently and saplings of different varieties were planted in the college premises.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rajabhau Munghate. Director of NSS of YCMOU Dr. Dorajendra Wagh, Director of Nagpur Division Dr. Narayan Mehre and Program Officer of NSS Dr. Kailas More, Vice Principal P.S. Khope and students were prominently present.
The students were informed about the various schemes under the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the youth. Dr. Rajendra Wagh praised the initiative of the college while asserting that the Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam initiative is a combination of environmental protection and motherhood worship.
Dr. Mehre asserted that this college is not doing the activity as a mere formality, but it works for the benefit of the society. Dr. Kailas More expressed his thoughts that we will be together in enriching the adopted villages by implementing big projects in collaboration with many departments of the central and state governments.
Mr. Khope delivered the presidential address and highlighted the activities of the college. Program officer Dr. Narendra Arekar made an introductory speech and conducted the programme. Dr. Sanjay Mahajan proposed the vote of thanks. Ashish Baghmare, Numraj Gonnade, Ushatai Gajbhiye, Rajesh Gudekar, Tokesh Kolhe, Lokesh Raut Kalyani Uike, Rakesh Uike contributed to the success of the program.
