Gadchiroli July 29 (District Correspondent) District Congress President Mahendra Bramhanwade has strongly criticised the District In charge Minister Devendra Fadnavis for ignoring the flood situation and the sufferings of the people.
In a statement issued here Mr. Bramhanwade has said that heavy rains have been going on in Gadchiroli district since last one week. Due to this rain, flood situation has arisen in the district. As a result, many villages in the district have been cut off, houses and crops have been damaged due to floodwaters entering the villages and farms.
A pregnant woman in Bhamragarh taluka had to cross a drain with the help of JCB machine as there was no bridge, in Kurkheda taluka the students of the area were deprived of education due to the overflowing of the Sati River. The patient injured due to snake bite had to lose his life as there was no way to go to the hospital, the bus traffic on Aheri-Sironcha route is closed due to the bad condition of the road in the district, Bramhanwade pointed out.
Such is the worst situation in the district. Member of Parliament from Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha Constituency Dr. Namdev Kirsan came to the district from Delhi even when the session is going on, and he is visiting the flood-affected areas of the district and giving the necessary instructions to the administration, but the deputy chief minister of the state who is the guardian of the district who is the guardian of the district, has not visited the district as yet, Bramhanwade said.
Mahendra Brahmanwade has also alleged that Mr. Fadnavis is busy in party meetings and has left the people of the district at their mercy when they need his help today.
