Gadchiroli November 18(district correspondent) A huge motor cycle rally was taken out by independent candidate from Gadchiroli Assembly constituency Dr Sonal Kowe on Sunday for her campaigning.
The youths participated in large numbers in this rally with their motor cycles and extended their support to Dr Kowe. Dr. Sonal Kowe had applied for the Congress ticket and was preparing to contest it but was denied the party ticket even as she was in the race hence she is contesting as an independent candidate in this election.
Addressing the rally Dr. Kowe listed out her priorities of health, education, drinking water and road connectivity and called upon the voters to give an opportunity to represent the constituency and serve the people. With strong support from various sections of society I have become the third alternative in this election, she claimed. Her systematic campaign has attracted the attention of the people. A video message being shown by her on a moving vehicle has become the topic of discussion among the voters.
I have been getting good response from the voters and they will certainly give me an opportunity to represent them in the Vidhan Sabha, she hoped.
Senior leader Vilas Kodape, Dr Chetan Kowe and other leaders participated in the rally.
Rashtriya Gondwana Party has extended its support to Dr Kowe. Mr Kamlesh Madavi, general secretary of the party handed over the letter of support to Dr Kowe thereby making her position quite well.
