Gadchiroli May 13 (District Correspondent) Complaining that a flag post and wall compound constructed in the land in his possession was demolished by the Range Forest Officer and Gram Sewak of Chatgaon without any prior notice, Dr. Pramod Salwe, President of Ayurwed Utkarsha Mandal has demanded stern action against the officials.
Addressing a press conference at the Rest house here on Monday evening, Dr. Salwe told that a proposal of the grant of forest land at Chatgaon in Dhanora taluka is pending with the office of the district forest rights committee at the collector office. As per govt. circular of the Tribal Development department dated Nov. 11, 2016, no any encroachment should be removed until the final decision is taken by the forest rights district committee.
However, the RFO of Chargaon and the Gram Sewak of the village panchayat approached on the site of my construction on May 12 last along with some villagers and demolished the flag post that was constructed for celebrating the Buddha Pornima, told Dr. Salwe.
The act of the officials is totally illegal and it has hurt the religious sentiments also. A stringent action should therefore be taken against the officials responsible for the act and also those participating in the act of demolition, demanded Dr. Salwe.
