Gadchiroli Feb. 25 (District correspondent) Chairman of Dandakaranya Educational and Cultural Development Research Institute and Principal of Shri Govindrao Munghate College of Arts and Sciences, Kurkheda Dr. Rajabhau Munghate has been honoured with the Service Excellence (Tribal Education) Award by the New Delhi based Prime time sanstha. The award was presented at the hands of world-famous cricketer Little Master Sunil Gavaskar at a grand ceremony in New Delhi recently.
Dr. Munghate was selected for this prestigious award taking note of the educational work done by him in very remote area like Gadchiroli.
Principal Dr. Rajabhau Munghate is known as an experienced and enterprising Principal of Gondwana University and during his tenure he has reached the name of the college to global level. The college is ranked 502 nd in the inter school ranking in India.
He is a lifetime member of the Asia Pacific Community Network, an association of the Asia continent. This association works on assessment and accreditation and quality standards in all higher education institutions in Asia. The college has received one star nomination for the last two years in Institute Innovation Cell under Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Dr. Munghate is also a member of the Grading and Rating Committee of the NANC Committee. Under his guidance, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Movie Club, tobacco control awareness has been established in the college. He has a major contribution in the Management Council of Gondwana University. He has worked on various authorities of the university.
Prior to this, Principal Dr. Munghate has been honored with the best principal award of Gondwana University and various other awards. The Mridangadha annual magazine of the college has received the first prize for the last five years. His articles have been published his various national and international magazines.
The award is given to a person doing exemplary work in the fields of education and service. The purpose of these awards is to inspire others to achieve bigger and better things.
