Gadchiroli July 25 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Namdeo Kirsan, in his first ever appearance in the Lok Sabha has raised the important issues of the railway lines in the constituency and urged the railway minister to take early action on the issues.

The issue of railways in Gadchiroli district has been pending for many years and actually the work of laying the railway line between Wadsa and Gadchiroli is going on at a very slow pace which may delay the railway, pointed out the MP. The railway line should therefore be laid down at the earliest, he demanded.

Dr. Kirsan also raised the issue of roads in Sironcha and Aheri area stating that these roads are in a very bad condition and the journey to Nagpur from these places is longer by this route. The citizens of these areas used to travel to Nagpur via Kazipeth by Kazipeth-Ajni passenger train, but that train has also not been started since it was closed during the Corona period. Residents of Aheri-Sironcha area are facing difficulty in commuting, the MP further pointed out demanding early starting of the said train for the convenience of the commuters.

The trains between Wadsa to Chanda Fort, Chanda Fort to Gondia, Gondia to Raipur, Kazipet to Ajni (Nagpur) are closed since the time of Corona causing severe inconvenience to the travellers. All these trains should be restarted, demanded Dr. Kirsan. Similarly, Gadchiroli-Wadsa, Nagbhid – Nagpur railway work also should be completed speedily, he demanded.

The underground roads on the railway route at Wadsa and other places are filled with water during rains which causes problems to the travellers to use the roads. The alternative arrangements of such underground roads be made at the earliest, demanded Dr. Kirsan further.

Namdev Kirsan visited Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav during the ongoing monsoon session in Delhi. The railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav assured to do the needful over the issues.
