Gadchiroli Aug. 5 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha Constituency MP Dr. Namdev Kirsan met the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mr. Rahul Gandhi recently at Delhi and discussed various issues related to the development of the Lok Sabha constituency.
Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the most backward Lok Sabha Constituencies in Maharashtra and it includes assembly constituencies of Armori, Gadchiroli, Aheri in Gadchiroli District, Amgaon in gondiya district, Brahmpuri, Chimur in Chandrapur district. The citizens in these areas are facing many problems as the infrastructure is still not developed in most of the areas, pointed out Dr. Kirsan.
Every year during the rainy season many villages are cut off due to floods, agriculture is also suffering a lot and there are no major employment opportunities in the Lok Sabha area and the problem of unemployment is also increasing, he informed. A special financial package has been demanded in the Parliament for the development of Chimur Lok Sabha constituency, Kirsan told and urged Mr. Rahul Gandhi to help in getting the special package to the constituency.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi assured Dr. Kirsan that he will cooperate fully and raise the issue with the central government to get a special financial package for the development of Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha constituency.
