Gadchiroli June 18 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Namdeo Kirsan held a meeting with the municipal council officers here and had detailed discussions on various development works, civic issues and basic needs of the citizens. In this meeting, he gave clear instructions to the administration to take immediate measures to resolve the long-pending problems in the city.

District Congress President Mahendra Brahmanawade, Municipal Council Chief Officer Suryakant Pidurkar, Youth Congress State Secretary Vishwajit Kovase, former councillors Satish Vidhate, Rajesh Katratwar, Ramesh Chaudhary, Nandu Kayarkar, Sunil Dongra, Gulab Madavi, District Vice President Shamsher Pathan, Gadchiroli Taluka President Vasant Raut, Prabhakar Vasekar, Rajnikant Motghare, Nitesh Rathod, Rupesh Tikele, Suresh Bhandekar were prominently present in the meeting.

Many important issues were raised during the meeting. It was demanded that action should be taken immediately to distribute permanent leases to the poor and needy families who have been living in encroachment for many years so that they can get the benefits of the Gharkul scheme. It is necessary to strengthen the water supply system so that every citizen gets clean and safe drinking water.

Dr. Kirsan also directed to emphasize on maintaining cleanliness in the city, regular drain cleaning, proper waste management and maintaining quality in approved development works. He said that the administration should take prompt action to beautify the city and improve civic amenities.

In this meeting, the citizens presented their problems, suggestions and expectations. Taking all of them seriously, the concerned officials were instructed to take timely and effective decisions. It is the responsibility of the administration to solve the problems of the people on priority said Dr. Kirsan and mentioned that public participation is equally important for all-round development of the city.
