Gadchiroli Sept. 19 (District Correspondent) Gadchiroli-Chimur lok Sabha MP Dr. Namdeo Kirsan has asked the PWD and National highway authorities to repair the damaged roads immediately and give relief to the people.
The national highway in Gadchiroli district is in a very bad condition, due to which the citizens have to face many problems. It is very necessary to speed up the work of Armori-Gadchiroli, Ashti-Alapalli-Sironcha National Highway and to repair potholes on the roads urgently till the road work is completed, instructed Dr. Kirsan.
The MP held a meeting of the senior officers at the Government Rest House here the other day in which National Highway (West Zone) Chief Engineer Manoj Kumar, Chief Engineer and Regional Officer Prashant Phegde, Chief Engineer National Highway Santosh Shelar, Superintending Engineer National Highway Nagpur N. V. Borkar, Executive Engineer National Highway Gadchiroli N. S. Bobde. Gadchiroli District Congress Committee President Mahendra Brahmanwade was also especially present in this meeting.
Dr. Kirsan also suggested to increase the height of the road bridge under the National Highway and while constructing the new bridge, preferably retain the old bridge and build a new bridge on the side so that the passengers will not face any sort of inconvenience until the work is completed. If there are any problems related to permission or any other problem, he will give full cooperation as the people’s representative of the area to solve them, assured Dr. Kirsan.
