Gadchiroli Aug. 24 (District Correspondent) Aheri MLA Dharmarao Baba Atram raised various important issues of the district on the floor of the State Assembly recently and attracted the attention of the government towards burning problems of the people.

The farmers and other citizens in the district have suffered heavy loss due to recent floods as the standing crops in thousands of hectares and other property was destroyed. Several roads in flood affected areas also have been badly damaged and need urgent repair for smooth transport, he said.

The life of the people has been badly paralysed due to this natural calamity and they are therefore in dire need of immediate financial assistance and relief from the government in this hour of crisis, pointed out Mr. Atram during his submission urging the Chief Minister to urgently look into the matter.

Mr. Atram also raised the issue of opening new Ashram Schools and schools in the district to provide educational facilities to the students of this district. He asked for sufficient financial provisions for this purpose.

The Chief Minister is quite aware of all these problems because he was the Guardian Minister of the district for some period, said Mr. Atram and requested Mr. Eknath Shinde to pay personal attention towards the issues and get them solved as early as possible.
