
Gadchiroli July 9 (District Correspondent) The 10-day ‘Dhamma Upasika’ training camp was organized by the Bharatiya Bouddha Mahasabha District Women’s Branch at the Samyak Buddha Vihar Gokul Nagar here recently.
District Women’s Branch President Surekha Barsagade presided over the event while Central Teacher Kaivish Meshram, District President Tularam Raut, General Secretary Prof. Gautam Dange, Treasurer Lahu Ramteke, Samyak Samaj Samiti President Hansraj Undirwade, Senior Citizen Association’s Kavaduji Undirwade were prominently present.
In this 10-day training camp, Central Teacher Kaivish Meshram gave in-depth lectures on the life of Lord buddha, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the place of idol worship in Buddhism, Babasaheb’s message to women, superstition, Buddhist festivals and auspicious days, the sacrifice of Mata Ramai, Arya Astangik Marg, Ten Paramitas, 22 Vows, the objectives and work of the Bouddha Mahasabha, etc. She appealed the women to study Buddhism and become Central Teachers and spread and propagate the Dhamma.
We got a deep knowledge of Dhamma, a positive change took place in us through the ten-day camp, we will motivate our family members to behave according to Dhamma, from now on we will become central teachers and propagate and spread Dhamma,” expressed the participating women. All the participating women were felicitated with certificates. During the training, many donors provided snacks, fruits and food. Ms. Lata Ramteke presented a welcome song.
The camp was conducted by Ms. Sumitra Raut, General Secretary of the District Women’s Branch and Manisha Warke offered thanks. Ms. Aruna Raut, Archana Bhaisare, Archana Tembhurne, Jyoti Urade, Shashikala Sahare, Sandhya Bhaisare, Yashodhara Jambhulkar, Satyabhama Kotangale, Aishwarya Bhaisare, Priya Jambhulkar and others cooperated for the success of the camp.
