
Gadchiroli July 21 (District Correspondent) To mark the death anniversary of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe, a program on fake miracles ‘Alchemy of Science, Dispelling Superstitions’ was organized by Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti Gadchiroli at Municipal Council Primary School Indiranagar here the other day.
The programme was organized to instil a scientific outlook in children. In line with this, various miracle experiments were presented to remove the superstitions from the minds of the children and guidance was given on how such miracles happen with scientific reasons. The program began with a tribute to the memory of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe.
The program was presided over by the school principal Ravindra Uike and the main guides were Dr. Chandrakant Lengure, social worker, District Working President Vitthalrao Kothare and the city Working President Upendra Rohankar.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Lengure said that most of the people still believe that many of the events in the world happen with the power and blessings of some divine power which is not true at all. People should think about these happenings on the basis of their conscience.
Mr. Kothare showed several demonstrations and explained them how science works behind these miracles. He asked the students to develop scientific approach.
The program was conducted by Mr. Rakesh Wakudkar and the vote of thanks was given by Yogesh Shrirame. School teachers Suvidha Ghonmode, Anjali Barsinghe, Deepika Kawadkar, Vipin Latkar cooperated for the success of the program.
