Gadchiroli Oct. 8 (District Correspondent) Mr. Bhagyawan Khobragade, President of Kisanrao Khobragade Education Society was honoured with ‘Zilla Gaurao’ award for the year 2023-24 by the DCC Bank in a programme held at Swagat Mangal Karyalaya, Armori the other day.
Senior cooperative leader Arvind Saokar Poreddiwar, well known drama artist Parashuram Khune, President of Gadchiroli Urban Cooperative Bank Prakash Saokar Poreddiwar, Armori MLA Krishna Gajbe, Mr. Motilal Kukreja, Chairman of Armori APMC Ishwar Pasewar, Deputy Chairman Venkati Nagilwar were present as special guests. Ms. Bhagyalakshmi Khobragade, Former municipal chief Pawan Naranvare, Vice President Haider Panjwani, Bharat Bawanthde, Gadchiroli APMC Chairman Shashikant Salve were prominently present.
Mr. Khobragade was honoured with a shawl, memento, bouquet and cash of Rs. 51,000.
Mr. Poreddiwar said, Bhagyawan Khobragade is renowned for his active contribution in social, educational, cultural, spiritual and religious work. Selection of such an accomplished personality for the ‘Zilla Gaurav Puraskar’ is very inspiring for the people of Armori. He won the trust and heart of the people due to his calm, loving, kind hearted, energetic good nature, that is why he is known as a people’s leader.
Mr. Khune said, Bhagyawan Khobragade has reached the height of education in the field of education. He has deepened his field of education for all of us. He expressed the feeling that such awards inspire people and give them courage to live, but such people are rare now.
Replying the felicitation Mr. Khobragade said, it is a great honour for him to get the award to a person like me. This award I got is not my own but that of the people of Armori. Therefore, I am dedicating this award to the public.
The kins of Sulochana Vitthal Gode, Parvata Balaji Pal who were killed in a tiger attack and Vijaya Vilas Gedam who died due to lightning were given a cheque of Rs. 75,000 each on behalf of DCC Bank. Also, 10 senior account holders -Patruji Bhandekar, Nathuji Devikar, Anusaya Tichkule, Tanu Gondole, Sindhu Bhoyer, Kusum Hedau, Motiram Murwatkar, Balkrishna Dokre, Venu Vadpalliwar, Shalini Gedam were felicitated with shawls. Dadaji Chaudhari, Vasantrao Meshram, Srihari Bandawar, Anant Salve, Khemraj Dongarwar, Dr. Balwant Lakde, Jagoba Khedkar, Bhaiyaji Wadhai, Dr. Durvesh Bhoyar, Khirsagar Nakade, Madan Meshram, Hemant Patil Khune, Prof. Sheshrao Yelekar, Tanaji Chaple, Chandrakant Shivarkar were also present on the occasion.
