
Gadchiroli Jan. 22 (District Correspondent) Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, while reviewing the administrative agencies in Gadchiroli today, gave instructions to the officials to accelerate the development works in the district and complete them at full speed. She instructed the officers to ensure that no development works remain pending in the district for more than two weeks and to contact her directly if there are any obstacles in the development works.
District Collector Avishyant Panda, Special Inspector General of Police Sandeep Patil, District Superintendent of Police Shri Nilotpal were present at the review meeting organized at the Collectorate office.
Ms. Saunik, while giving instructions to make maximum use of technology to complete administrative work at a fast pace, asked to develop Gadchiroli as a digital district. She also gave instructions to save energy by installing solar energy panels on government buildings. She also instructed to adopt bi-cropping or multi-cropping system instead of single cropping system and to encourage fruit tree cultivation to improve the agricultural sector.
She directed to provide employment to local ITI students in industries in the district on priority and to ensure that at least 30 percent women are guaranteed employment. She also instructed to submit a proposal for amendments to the law to resolve the problems in the PESA Act.
Ms. Saunik said that a list of problems that cannot be solved at the local level should be sent to her and she will give 100 percent priority to solve them. Along with this, she asked to work promptly to remove technical problems by emphasizing on completing development works on time.
District Collector Avishyant Panda gave information about the development works in the district through a presentation.
Chief Secretary Ms. Sujata Saunik also visited and inspected the IIIT Training Centre and Ekal Centre at Gondwana University. She instructed to take initiatives to promote employment opportunities along with the training for students by setting up a digital carpentry unit and an e-bicycle manufacturing unit.
All the sub-divisional officers, deputy collectors and heads of departments of various departments were present in the meeting.
