
Gadchiroli March 10 (District Correspondent) To mark the International Women’s Day, a Civic Action Program 2024-25 was organized at Police Station Kotmi in Etapalli taluka of the district under the guidance of Mr. Parvinder Singh, Commandant, 192 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force recently.
Mr. Y Darpan Singh, Assistant Commandant, Mangesh Patil, Police Station Officer, Kotmi, R.R. Kolawar Nodal Officer, Panchayat Samiti Etapalli, Dr. Samriddhi Rathod of PHC Kotmi, Dr. Pragya Ramteke Medical Officer Kotmi were prominently present.
During this Program, household essentials like emergency lights, spades, manual spray pump, pots etc were distributed to more than 300 needy villagers falling under Police Station Kotmi.
This work of CRPF is being appreciated by the general public. For the last 20 years, CRPF has been distributing basic items to the general public for their livelihood. The villagers from Kotmi, Etawahi, Gaddapalli, Nainguda, Kandamatola, Paddi and Kondawahi have been benefited by this programme. This programme is taken up to improve the living standards of the citizens of remote areas of the district.
In the closing ceremony, Mr. Y Darpan Singh told the villagers about the community policing system and said the participation of the natives is important. This reduces the gap between the public and the police and crime can be controlled, he pointed out.
Security forces are establishing their public relations by setting up new security camps in Naxal-affected areas.
