Gadchiroli Aug. 17 (District Correspondent) A joint bike rally was taken out by 192 battalion of the CRPF under the guidance of Mr. Jagdeesh Narayan Meena, DIG of CRPF to create awareness among the people about ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ programmes and to spread the message about these programmes, the other day.
The rally was flagged off by Mr. Meena in which officers and jawans of the DIG office and 192 battalion participated. The bike rally started from MIDC area and moved through different parts of the city winding through Semana and finally culminated at the 192 headquarters in MIDC area.
Addressing the jawans on the occasion Mr. Meena spoke about the importance of the Indian Independence and the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters for attaining the Independence. He also spoke about the celebrations of 75 years and said no citizen can be successful if he does not love his country and its soil.
A large number of people, especially youths welcomed the rally at different places and expressed their desire to hoist the national flag at their homes. There was seen a tremendous enthusiasm among the youths during the rally. Mr. Narendra Kumar, second in command, Shiv Mahendra Singh, Dy. Commandant, Saurabh Dutta, Medical Officer of 192 battalion were prominently present in the rally besides large number of CRPF jawans and officials.
