Gadchiroli April 3 (District Correspondent) Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded that the timings of Anganwadi centres in the district should be changed immediately in the interest of the children.
A delegation of the party workers met the Zilla Parishad CEO under the leadership of Mr. Amol Marakwar, District Secretary of the party and submitted him a memorandum in this regard on Wednesday. The timings of Anganwadi centres in the district have been changed from 7.15 am to 1.45 pm. But currently the temperature has increased and this temperature will increase again in the coming month. The children who come to Anganwadi are quite young and due to the increasing temperature, they are likely to suffer from heatstroke. Therefore, it is quite necessary to change timing.

The timing of Zilla Parishad primary schools is 7.15 am to 11.15 am. On the same lines, the Anganwadi working timings should also be fixed from 7.15 am to 12.00 pm.
The delegation also discussed the matter with Ms. Archana Ingole, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Women and Child Welfare Department and submitted a memorandum to her.
