Congress workers staging demonstrations.

Gadchiroli Aug. 1 (District Correspondent) The Congress party workers staged demonstrations at Indira Gandhi Square here this afternoon in protest against the insult of the party leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

A large number of workers assembled at the square and shouted slogans against BJP and its leader Anurag thakur for uttering cattiest and insulting against Mr. Rahul Gandhi and demanded unconditional apology from the party.

Mr. Gandhi, in his speech in the Lok Sabha had said that caste-wise census should be conducted in Parliament upon which BJP MP Anurag Thakur utter castiest words against Gandhi, which can’t be tolerated at all. The BJP is trying to suppress the voice of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, it was alleged in a meeting during the protest. Rahul Gandhi has become the voice of common citizens and has been raising his voice for the interests of Bahujans, stated Mr. Anandrao Gedam, ex MLA.

Besides Mr. Anandrao Gedam, Manohar Patil Poretti former ZP Vice President, Youth Congress State Secretary Vishwajit Kowase, Shankar Patil Salotkar, Jeevan Patil Nath, Rajesh Thakur, Youth Congress District President Nitesh Rathod, Tribal Cell District President Hanumant Madavi, Gadchiroli Taluka President Vasant Raut, Chamorshi Taluka President Pramod Bhagat, Kalpana Nandeshwar, Waman Savsakade Pramod Vaidya, Namdev Mandalwar Mangala Kove, Prabhakarji Wasekar, Nandu Narote Vice, Ghanshyam Wadhai, Rajnikant Morghare District President Scheduled Caste Cell, Bhaiyaji Muddamwar, Ramesh Bhau Chaudhari and many other Congress workers participated in the protest agitation.
