Gadchiroli Dec. 19 (District Correspondent) The Congress Party workers staged demonstrations at Indira Gandhi Square of the city this afternoon to protest against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s insulting and hateful statement about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The workers shouted slogans against Mr. Shah and registered their protest during the agitation. Mr. Amit Shah’s insulting statement about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, “Why do you keep chanting Ambedkar, Ambedkar. Had you chanted the name of God, you would have got a better place in heaven”, has insulted Dr. Ambedkar and the country, alleged the workers and demanded that Mr. Shah should resign and apologize to the country.

Former ZP Vice President Gadchiroli Manohar Poretti, District President of Scheduled Caste Department Rajnikant Motghare, City President Congress Satish Vidhate, Mahila Congress chief Kavita Moharkar, Kalpan Nandeshwar, senior leader Prabhakar Wasekar, Kusum Alam, former councillor Ramesh Chaudhari, Social Media chief Nandu Wailkar, Teachers Department’s Dattatray Kharwade, Transport Department’s Rupesh Tikle, Student Congress’s Nishant Wanmali, Kashinath Bhadke, Devaji Sontakke, Anil Kothare, (Uddhav Thackeray Group) Pawan Gedam, Sahebaaz Sheikh, Kunal Kove, Milind Barsagade, and many other workers were present.
