Congress worker’s meeting held-local body elections discussed.

Gadchiroli Sept. 13 (District Correspondent) Keeping in mind the upcoming Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Nagar Parishad elections, an important meeting of the Gadchiroli District Congress Committee was held at Maharaja Celebration Hall, here on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Namdev Kirsan, MLA Ramdas Masram, former MP Marotrao Kowase, District Observers Adv. Sachin Naik, Sandesh Singalkar, Santosh Rawat, District Congress President Mahendra Brahmanwade, former MLA P. R. Talandi, former Z. P. President Ajay Kankadlawar, State Secretaries Pankaj Guddewar, Hanumanthu Madavi, Youth Congress National Secretary Adv. Vishwajit Kowase, former ZP Vice President Manohar Poretti, Jeevan Naat, Mahila Congress President Adv. Kavita Moharkar, senior leader Jessabhau Mothwani were prominently present.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kirsan said the Congress Party has always been fighting for the rights of the common people, the poor, the exploited and the deprived classes of society. It has made a historic contribution to the building of the country and every Congress worker should accept the responsibility of reaching this contribution to all the citizens, and face the upcoming local body elections together.

The other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion and mentioned the contribution of the Congress Party for the development of the country and welfare of the people. They called upon the workers to fight the coming local body elections with confidence and ensure victory of the party candidates.

Elaborate discussions were made on the preparations of the local body elections in this meeting. District Congress Committee office bearers, all Taluka Presidents, Presidents of different cells, present and former councillors, former Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members and a large number of Congress workers attended the meeting.
