Gadchiroli Aug. 19 (District Correspondent) Senior congress leader and Observer of the Gadchiroli Chimur Loksabha constituency Dr. Nitin Raut has expressed the confidence that the Congress party will emerge victorious in the coming parliament elections by strengthening the unity among its alliance partners on the lines of Karnataka.
Dr. Raut was in the city to review the Lok Sabha elections and held a meeting with the congress leaders and workers earlier in the day. Later on, he addressed the media persons at the circuit house here in presence of the senior leaders.
The overall political atmosphere in the country and the state is favourable for the Congress party due to Bharat Jodo yatra taken out by Rahul Gandhi and the Congress candidates will certainly win the coming elections, as the workers want to see Mr. Gandhi as the Prime minister of the country, Dr. Raut said.
All the party workers along with the Maha Vikas Aghadi partners are working together with determination and it will yield good results, he said. The detailed review of all the six Assembly segments under Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha constituency was taken and the condition was found to be quite good, he added.
Referring to the state chief minister and his two deputies calling themselves as the ‘trishul’ of development, Dr. Raut, who was also a Minister in the MVA government, came down heavily on the present government and asked what have they done for the district of Gadhiroli. The real development of the district was done during the regime of Maha Vikas Aghadi, he pointed out.
The district is facing numerous problems of health, education, agriculture, employment, load shedding etc but the government is neglecting these issues, he alleged.
Reacting over NCP leader Sharad Pawar, Dr. Raut opined that Mr. Pawar is the senior leader of the opposition’s INDIA block and will remain with it till the end.
