Congress will continue its struggle to protect the Constitution-Dr. Namdev Kirsan.

Gadchiroli Dec. 24 (District Correspondent) Stating that Congress Party has always been protecting and safeguarding the Constitution of India, Gadchiroli chimur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Namdev Kirsan said the Congress Party will intensify its ongoing struggle of the Constitution and will reach it to the masses.

Addressing a press conference at the Circuit House here on Monday afternoon, Dr. Kirsan strongly criticised the recent statement of union home minister Amit Shah about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and demanded early apology and resignation of the minister.

In fact, BJP does not agree with the principles of equality, fraternity and secularism enshrined in the Constitution that is why its leaders aften speak against the constitution, Kirsan alleged and said the Constitution needs to be protected at any cost and Congress Party will continue its fight for it.

The Congress party has been demanding the lifting of 50 percent reservation cap and conducting caste census in the country but the ruling BJP has been ignoring it all these years, Kirsan said alleging that BJP does not want the welfare and progress of the poor and Dalits-backwards.

The BJP MPs created ruckus when the opposition members were raising the issue of Amit shah outside the parliament, Kirsan further alleged. BJP can’t suppress our voice and the Congress will not tolerate this attitude, he warned.

District Congress President Mahendra Bramhanwade said the Congress party will launch agitation throughout the district against the insult of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar made by Amit Shah. The party workers will come on the streets to protest the attitude of the union minister.
