Gadchiroli June 26 (District Correspondent) The Congress workers staged a unique protest today titled ‘and presented the replicas of helicopters to the government officers urging them to use the helicopters but visit our village’.
A large number of workers assembled at Indira Gandhi square of the city under the leadership of DCC chief Mahendra Bramhanwade and Armori MLA Ramdas Masram and shouted slogans against the government and administration for ‘negligence towards the people’s problems. The workers then met the senior officers and submitted them memorandums and replicas of helicopters demanding early resolving of the public issues.
Although the Chief Minister of the state and Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli district, Devendra Fadnavis has taken the responsibility of the development of the district, for the last three years, in reality, the problems of the people of the district are increasing, alleged Mr. Bramhanwade while speaking during the protest.
The memorandums listed various problems of the people including financial assistance to the farmers whose crops have been damaged by the wild elephants and storms, control of nuisance created by the elephants, accidents due to heavy traffic in the Surjagad quarry, the pathetic condition of the roads, due to this the citizens of the district are suffering a lot, providing safe buses for the school students, early solving of the problems of farmers and citizens by the administrative offices, payment of outstanding payments for government works, gharkuls, wages of MNREGA, regular supply of electricity in rural areas, jobs to unemployed youths, not acquiring agricultural land for the corporates etc.
The guardian minister and other officials holding key positions should visit the village or at least taluka level to listen to the problems of the common citizens of the district, it was demanded.
Those prominently participated in the agitation were former ZP Vice President Manohar Poretti, City President Satish Vidhate, Armori Taluka President Milind Khobragade, Gadchiroli Taluka President Vasant Raut, Chamorshi Taluka President Pramod Bhagat, Dhanora Taluka President Prashant Koram, Environment Cell President Rajesh Thakur, Scheduled Caste Cell President Rajnikant Motghare, Youth Congress District President Nitesh Rathod, OBC Cell President Bhupesh Kolte, Transport Cell President Rupee Tikle, Kisan Cell President Wamanrao Savsagade, Shankarrao Salotkar, Prabhakar Vasekar, Vinod Lengure, Netaji Gavature, Diwakar Nisar, Ghanshyam Vadhai, Ramesh Chaudhary, Anil Kothare, Dilip Ghodam, Bhaiyaji Muddamwar, Nandu Narote, Gulab Madavi and many other Congress workers.
