Collector instructs officials to remain alert in flood situation.

Gadchiroli July 20 (District Correspondent) District Collector Sanjay Daine today gave instructions to the officials to take precautions to ensure that the traffic system remains smooth by using an alternative road, or by repairing the damaged roads after the water recedes. If the roads have been washed away, then they can be made usable by putting murruhm again there so that the traffic system remains smooth. Monsoon has started and road traffic is blocked at many places due to heavy rains and flood in the district, he pointed out.

A meeting of the Disaster Management Committee was held today in the meeting hall of the Collector’s Office. Collector Sanjay Daine reviewed the situation in the district.

Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh, Resident Deputy Collector Sunil Suryavanshi, District Superintendent Agriculture Officer Basavaraj Mastodi, Disaster Management Advisor Krishna Reddy, District Disaster Management Officer Nilesh Teltumbde and all sub-divisional officers, tehsildars, officials of PWD and member officers of disaster management committee attended the meeting through video system.

Pregnant women, people who have suffered from snakebite and electric accidents caused due to lightening need to go to the hospital for immediate treatment, in which case an alternative road must be available for transportation. Special attention should be given to Alapalli, Bhamragarh, Sironcha areas, he instructed.

He also gave instructions to repair the approach road of the bridge on the Sironcha to Telangana Road immediately. Medical officials should also consider the situation and refer patients elsewhere. The local system should be present at the places where disaster has occurred in the district, and should take full care of the safety of the citizens with the help of the disaster management team.

At this time, the collector also gave instructions that the tehsildars should immediately make a panchnama of the damage and if there is loss of life, government relief funds should be made available to the heirs of the deceased and livestock owners immediately.
