
Gadchiroli May 28 (District Correspondent) District Collector Avishyant Panda has been honoured with the second state level award announced for Amravati Zilla Parishad under the Yashwant Panchayat Raj Abhiyan 2023-24.
Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan presented this prestigious award consisting of a citation, a cheque of Rs 20 lakh and a memento. This award has been given for the excellent work done by Amravati Zilla Parishad during Mr. Panda’s tenure as the then CEO of the Zilla Parishad, during the financial year 2022-23.
Under his guidance, Amravati Zilla Parishad successfully implemented many important schemes for the development of education, health, sanitation, water supply and other infrastructure. Due to the initiatives he took to improve the living standards of the citizens of rural areas, the district has made commendable progress in various fields.
Mr. Panda’s administrative skills and public welfare approach increased transparency and efficiency in the administration of the Zilla Parishad. Due to the work under his leadership, the Amravati Zilla Parishad received this state-level award.
Minister of State for Rural Development Yogesh Kadam, Principal Secretary of the Rural Development Department Eknath Dawle, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Naranware, Konkan Divisional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, Deputy Secretary to the Governor S Ramamurthy, as well as the Chief Officers of the award-winning Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samiti in the state, as well as the award-winning officers and employees of the Rural Development Department and their families were present.
