Gadchiroli Nov. 24 (District Correspondent) A story “Srinkhala” penned by well-known writer and poet Mr. Chudaram Balharpure has won the second prize and the poem “Rangarbha Phult Ahe” also composed by him has won the first prize in the “Best Story Competition and Best Poetry Competition-2023 sponsored by Pune’s senior writer Arun Savalekar. Both the above materials have been published in this year’s Aarti Diwali issue.
Editors of the ‘Aarti’ magazine Pranab Bhagwat and Bharat Gawde have announced these prizes recently. This is the first time that two creations of the same author have been honoured with the same award in a single Diwali issue. Both these awards are in cash form.
Chudaram Balharpure is a state award winning playwright from Zadipatti. He has received the excellent literature award of the Government of the state government. Till date, he has published 13 books and has been honoured with many awards. Mahamrityunjay Markandeshwar, Bahudhangi Samadhiwale Baba, Special Report, Dharti Aba-Krantisurya Birsa Munda, and Mahayoddha of Gondwana-Krantiveer Baburao Shedmake are his popular plays.
