Gadchireli Nov. 15 (District Correspondent) Bhartiya Janta Party is committed to development of the district by way of opening industries and constructing new high ways. The party wants overall development of the region and it has been working in that direction, said Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

He was addressing the campaign meetings of BJP candidate Dharmaraobaba Atram from Aheri assembly constituency, Gadchiroli candidate Dr. Milind Narote and Armori Assembly constituency Krishna Gajbe at village Ashti in Chamorshi taluka and Kurkheda on Friday  afternoon.

Mr. Gadkari further said that forest area and mineral resources are available in large quantities in Gadchireli district. In such a situation, there is a lot of scope for setting up big industries here. But for setting up industries, basic things like roads, communication, electricity and water are needed. However, the Forest Department has stopped this work. The forest department does not plant even a single tree and stops projects of interest to common citizens.

Mahayuti candidate from Aheri  Minister Dharmarao Baba Atram,  candidate from Armori Krishna Gajbe, Gdchiroli candidate Dr. Milind Narote, District BJP President Prashant Waghre, Assembly Coordinator Pramod Pipre, BJP Mahila March District President Geeta Hinge were present in the meeting of Ashti. Senior leader Arvind Poreddiwar, former MP Ashok Nete, MLA Krishna Gajbe, former district president of BJP Kishan Nagdeve were present in the Kurkheda meeting.

Mr. Gadkari further said that before setting up the steel project in Jamshedpur, Jamshed Tata had come to Gadchirolli riding on a horse. He had also inspected Surjagarh with a view to setting up an iron industry here, but the Forest Department did not give him permission. That’s why he opened industry at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand Tatanagar. This project changed the lives of lakhs of people there. If this industry had been established in Gadchiroli, the people here would not have to wear torn clothes. Local people should get employment in the iron mining going on in Surjagarh, he said.

Now Raipur-Vishakhapatnam Greenfield National Highway will be connected to Gadchiroli. This route will be constructed from Dhanora to Chhattisgarh. Due to this route, Gadchirolli district will become the most prosperous in the state in the coming time. Therefore, the public should stand behind the one who develops the district, Gadkari appealed.

At Kurkheda meeting, senior cooperative leader Mr. Arvind Saokar Poreddiwar spoke and called upon the people to vote for Mr. Gajbe for the speedy development of the area and the district as a whole. Earlier Mr. Gadkari was welcomed by Mr. Poreddiwar, Gajbe and others at the helipad.
