
Gadchiroli Feb. 24 (District Correspondent) The prestigious “Balsnehi” Award-2024 given by the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has been announced to the then Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Ayushi Singh, and the Women and Child Development Officer, Prakash Bhandakkar. This award will be given in recognition of their remarkable work in the field of child rights protection and child welfare.
Ms. Ayushi Singh and Prakash Bhandakkar have implemented various effective initiatives for the welfare of women and children in Gadchiroli district. They have promoted child rights protection by organizing taluka-level child care scheme camps in particular. Also, they have established Hirkani Khel for women in every Tehsil Office and Child Development Project Officer office area. Apart from this, they have played an important role in providing justice to the weaker sections of the society by effectively implementing social security schemes for women and children.
Maharashtra Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairperson Sushi Ben Shah announced this award on February 21. The award distribution ceremony will be held on March 3, 2024 at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan in Mumbai. The award will be presented in the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Also, the Minister of Women and Child Development, Ms. Aditi Tatkare, Minister of State for Home (Urban) Yogesh Kadam and Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Meghna Bordikar will be present, the Women and Child Development Officer has informed.
