Gadchiroli Jan. 3 (District Correspondent) Senior journalist of the city Avinash Bhandekar has been appointed as the Central Vice President of the Marathi Patrakar Parishad.

Marathi Patrakar Parishad is the largest organization of Marathi journalists in the country, established on December 3, 1939 and this organization has the legacy of many senior writers like Acharya P. K. Atre.

The appointment of Mr. Bhandekar was announced in the recent meeting of the Patrakar Parishad held in Pune. The new Vice President will be in office till August 2026. The Divisional Secretary and Vice President will be responsible for increasing the organizational work in his division.

The other Vice Presidents are as follows- Vidarbha- Avinash Bhandekar, Western Maharashtra- Ganesh Mokashi, Editor Rajya, Pune Konkan Region- Hemant Vanju, Ratnagiri, Marathwada- Prakash Kamble, Nanded, North Maharashtra- G. P. Landge, Dhule and Chandrakant Barde- Buldhana.

Trustees of the Parishad S.M. Deshmukh, Kiran Naik, Sharad Pable, President Milind Ashtivkar, General Secretary Suresh Naikwade, Treasurer Mansurbhai, State President of Digital Media Anil Waghmare, State Publicity Chief Sandeep Kulkarni have congratulated Mr. Bhandekar.
