Gadchiroli Sept. 1 (District Correspondent) Ms. Ashwini Donadkar, a girl from a very small village of Bidri in Etapalli was accorded felicitation by Manwadhikar Sangathana for clearing the MPSC examination and joining as the Sales Tax Assistant.
Her village is a densely forested and far away from Etapalli taluka headquarters, devoid of any amenities. There is also no pukka road to reach this highly sensitive village. What’s more, there is no even mobile coverage, no regular power supply in the village and not a village panchayat.
Ashwini’s academic journey is astounding. She passed her VII the class from a Zilla Parishad school of the village. Further education has to be done in Etapalli. For that many times she had to walk from Bidri village to the taluka place. Overcoming hardships like heat, wind and rain, Ashwini fulfilled her dream of higher education by getting admission in the hostel of Social Welfare department in Gadchiroli.
The office bearers of Manvadhikar Sangathana reached Bidri on the initiative of Mr. Pranay Khune, the president of the organization and felicitated her in the village. Her father Ashok Donadkar, who has barely two acres of farm, earns his living by working as a mason. Ashwini’s younger sister is also pursuing her B.Sc. and wants to become a teacher in future.
Ashwini was felicitated in the presence of Bhante Bhagirath from Kothri. On this occasion, Mr. Pranay Khune, Gyanendra Biswas, Javed Ali, Ramesh Adhikari, Bhimrao Vankar, Suresh Durge, Hemu Nakade, Harshal Wasekar were present.
