Gadchiroli March 11 (District Correspondent) Former MP and National General Secretary of BJP Scheduled Tribes Morcha, Ashok Nete, has been conferred with the ‘Doctor of Social Work’ honorary degree by South-Western American University, USA in a grand ceremony was organized today at the Crown Hotel, Goa.
The university’s academic committee felicitated Dr. Nete with a memento, degree certificate and a special honour badge in recognition of his outstanding contributions in social service, politics and education.
Dr. Ashok Nete has served as a two-time MLA and a two-time Member of Parliament, playing a pivotal role in promoting various developmental schemes for the upliftment of society. Alongside his political leadership, he has made significant contributions to social service and education, making him a widely respected leader.
Despite the fast-paced life of politics, he never underestimated the importance of education. Having completed his higher education with first-class distinction, he now stands recognized on a global level with a doctorate from a prestigious American university.
Being honored with a doctorate today is not just a recognition but a greater responsibility towards society. I am committed to blending education with social service and will continue working for the welfare of society with renewed energy, Nete expressed humbly.
The grand event was graced by dignitaries including Dr. Pranay Khune, Dr. Bharat Khati, Gyanendraji Vishwas, Ajay Sonule, and Divakar Gedam.
