Gadchiroli Oct. 5 (District Correspondent) Well known artist Ashish Rokde’s artistically and innovatively painted artwork on Mahatma Gandhi has become a matter of great appreciation and attracting growing attention now a days.

Gandhi’s famous concept of the three monkeys depicting three ills- not to speak evil, not to listen evil and not to see evil has been picked up by Ashish to sketch the painting and he has drawn the three monkeys on the background of 20-rupee currency notes has become the special attraction of the exhibition that has been displayed at Gandhi Film Foundation at Mani Bhavan, Mumbai.

Ashish is known for his variety of art works including beautifully drawn paintings using different ideas. A portrait of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar crafted by charcoal with 100-rupee currency notes in the background is one such legendary art that has become a matter of wide appreciation and discussion among the art lovers.

Now, to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a legendary figure in the history of India with global recognition, Ashish has put up his skill to draw the three monkeys very nicely giving thereby a message of this great leader to the society at large. The values that have been told by Gandhiji are portrayed in a significant manner by this artist in a splendid way.

This exhibition was inaugurated by the noted artist from Mumbai Sanjay nikam in presence of many artists on the Gandhi Jayanti day. The exhibition was organized to present Gandhiji’s ideas through art.

Ashish, who has done his Masters of fine art from the prestigious MIT, Pune has so far drawn more than 100 paintings on different subjects including the portraits of the great personalities, contemporary art and others which have always come true to the expectations of the art lovers and have been largely appreciated in the world of art. He intends to draw more such paintings and art works in the future too to carry on his career and present some innovative gift to the society.

A man of creativity, Ashish loves art and lives for it. Art is everything for him and is always engaged in finding something new. To find a place in the exhibition in a reputed place like Gandhi Film Foundation itself is an adorable thing for him and a piece of art for those who love such skillful creation.

Art has remained limited up to canvass and paints and brushes, it has got the wider scope now with the changing times and I am trying to explore the newer ideas in my paintings,
