Gadchiroli Aug. 3 (District Correspondent) Mr. Arvind Saokar Poreddiwar, a senior cooperative leader has been unanimously elected as the president of Sarvodaya Shikshan Mandal, Chandrapur, a renowned institution in the education sector of Maharashtra. After the election, Poreddiwar expressed the hope that the new executive will make collective efforts to take the organization to the pinnacle of success.
After the demise of Ms. Sudhatai Shantaram Potdukhe, the post of the President was lying vacant. A meeting of the executive board of the organization was held recently in which Mr. Poreddiwar was elected as the President.
MLA Kishore Jorgewar was elected as the Executive President. Prashant Shantaram Potdukhe as secretary, Sandeep Gaddamwar as the treasurer, Saguna Talandi as the vice president and Dr.Kirtivardhan Dixit as Joint Secretary.
Mr. Arvind Poreddiwar, while expressing his views after being elected to the post of president, said that Sarvodaya Shikshan Mandal is an organization that has been functioning for the past 65 years and the scope of the said organization is extended in Vidarbha. He hoped that the new executive will make collective efforts to take the organization to the pinnacle of success saying that it is a pleasure to have been unanimously elected as the president of such an organization.
Sarvodaya Shikshan Mandal was established in 1959. Established under the guidance of former Union Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Shantaram Potdukhe, the area of operation of this organization is in Vidarbha and colleges of various courses are functioning under this organization. It includes engineering college, law college and schools and colleges of various courses recognized by the government.
The election of Poreddiwar has created an atmosphere of joy among the employees of all colleges and schools in Vidarbha run by the organization.
