Gadchiroli Aug. 8 (District Correspondent) The citizens from Armori taluka have demanded immediate repair of Armori -Gadchiroli road and give relief to the people.

These citizens met the district Collector Sanjay Daine recently under the leadership of Mr. Praveen Rahate, former Dy. Sarpancha and youth leader and submitted him a memorandum in the regard. The condition of Armori- Gadchiroli road has become quite pathetic and it has become very troublesome for the travellers to drive their vehicles on it as it has developed potholes at several spots and need to be repaired soon, said the memorandum.

The road is in such a bad condition that it is difficult to understand whether there are potholes on the road or the road is on the potholes, said the memorandum further. Every year this road is repaired but then it turns into potholes, for the treasons known to the concerned authorities, it also stated.

This road is the busiest one and widely used by the people as it is on Gadchiroli Nagpur highway. Gadchiroli is the place of the district headquarters and thousands of people including pegnant women, students, farmers and many others have to travel on it daily for their work. The public representatives also travel on the road but it is surprising whether they see the condition of the road or pot, it has been asked.

Many accidents also have taken place on the road and there is more likelihood of such accidents due to its condition, said the citizens.

Besides Mr. Pravin Rahte, retired principal Bhagwan Raut, Yuvraj Mane, Nikesh Shendre, Dinesh Athole, Bajirao Sayam, Srikrishna Matte were present in the delegation.
