As many as 600 researchers from all over the world participated in this conference held in Brisbane recently.

‘Nirman’ is an initiative working for the holistic personality development of youth. Padma Shri awardee Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang started this initiative. A scientific framework for personality development has been developed in this program. “This framework is called the flourishing framework, and this research has been done on the basis of it. Being able to present this research at the World Congress on Positive Psychology is a great success for ‘Nirman’,” said Amrit Bang. This research says that 61 percent of youth are facing the feeling of sadness and 43 percent of youth are facing the feeling of loneliness.

The field of positive psychology has been developing in the last few years. Prof. Martin Seligman is considered its father.
