
Gadchiroli Feb. 15 (District Correspondent) In line with the Community Based Rehabilitation Project of Persons with Disabilities, ‘Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi, an NGO from Kurkheda had organized a three-day small business training project for the persons with disabilities at Rani Durgavati Training Centre Yerandi in Kurkheda taluka recently.
During the training, Dr. Satish Gogulwar, Director of AAA gave information about the the organization and the work being done by it with regard to persons with disabilities.
Mr. Manoj Meshram, Manager of AAA guided the participants by giving information about the project and why is small business important for persons with disabilities in modern times. He also talked about the resources available for disabled and business, livelihood tools, opinions on business in the society for disabled people, problems, challenges, limitations, schemes at the government level, current small businesses, precautions to be taken while doing small business etc.
The importance of licenses and insurance for small businesses, business marketing and business planning, social entrepreneurship development program subject associates conducted training. Also, the importance of documentation while doing business was conducted by the President of Vidarbha Divyang Sanghatana Yashwantrao Patankar.
Along with that, the importance of organizations of disabled people, savings groups, rights, government schemes, laws for community-based rehabilitation of disabled people was told by the senior worker Sangeeta Tumde.
The importance and necessity of small business, traditional small businesses, caste-based ancient small businesses, methods, types of small businesses were told by Dr. Naresh Kamble.
The Director Dr. Mukesh Shende guided about the social system and the role of disabled people in maintaining their self-existence. In the financial year 2024-25, 200 differently-abled persons have been trained in goat rearing and small business under the organization and 180 differently-abled persons have been provided financial assistance for their businesses, he informed.
