
Gadchiroli Oct. 30 (District Correspondent) The decision taken by all the Ambedkarite parties and organizations in the city to jointly contest the municipal elections together has now moved a step forward and all these parties have jointly formed the new front named as Nagar Vikas Aghadi.
The said front was announced in the first meeting of the core committee of these parties and organizations held at Chandekar Bhavan here on Tuesday. The process of inviting applications from interested candidates for the elections was also announced on this occasion.
The meeting, which was held in a very enthusiastic atmosphere, was presided over by senior Ambedkarite activist Dr. Marotrao Raipure. The convener of the committee, Rohidas Raut, BSP District President Bhaskar Meshram, Vanchit District President Prof. Prashant Devare, A.B.A. Republican Party’s Hansraj Undirwade, Azad Samaj Party’s Raj Bansod, BRPSP’s Milind Bambole, Bharat Mukti Party’s Pramod Raut, Bharatiya Buddhist Mahasabha’s Prof. Gautam Dange, Buddhist Society of India’s Dharmanand Meshram, and Samvidhan Foundation’s Gautam Meshram, along with all the members of the core committee, were present.
Those interested in contesting the elections from the Nagar Vikas Aghadi were appealed to contact the convener of the Aghadi.
All the workers present expressed their happiness over the unity of the Ambedkar Party in Gadchiroli city. Everyone also assured that this unity would work in any situation. All the activists also firmly stated that they would thwart attempts to create divisions within the Ambedkarite unity and face the elections together.
