The workers shouted slogans protesting the incident and then submitted a memorandum to the Resident Dy. Collector Samadhan shendge that was addressed to the chief minister of Maharashtra.

The main demands raised in this memorandum were- the case should be investigated by CBI and severe punishment should be given to the accused. This case should be run in fast-track court, one person of the family should be included in government job, immediate financial assistance of 50 lakh rupees be given to the victim’s family, police protection should be given to the victim’s family and the witnesses of the incident, strict action be taken against the culprits under other sections like atrocity, conspiracy to murder, etc. All kinds of property of the accused should be confiscated, those supporting the accused should be made co-accused in the case, the minority Buddhist community in the village should be given arms licenses for self-defence.

It was warned that the above demand should be fulfilled immediately and that the government of Maharashtra should utilize the opportunity to prove that the state of Maharashtra is running within the framework of the Constitution, otherwise a strong agitation would be launched in this matter.
