All Indian Republican Party demands early reduction of municipal taxes.

Gadchiroli Nov. 29 (District Correspondent) The All-India Republican Party has demanded immediate reduction of the heavy taxes imposed by the Gadchiroli Municipal Council.

A delegation of the party workers led by the Central Vice President Rohivadas Raut met the deputy chief officer of the council Bhandarwar and presented a written memorandum to him and discussed the demand in detail.

The new taxes levied by the municipal council are very exorbitant and unaffordable for common citizens. Newly imposed tree tax, education tax, property tax, employment guarantee tax are not up to the reality of the city. The memorandum pointed out that most of the citizens of Gadchiroli city are economically weak and many people live as wage laborers and live in slums for their livelihood and these people cannot afford the new taxes.

However, considering this matter, these taxes should be reduced immediately, it was demanded. In this delegation, Regional Vice President of the Republican Party, Prin. Prakash Dudhe, Regional Secretary Prof. Rajan Borkar, Keshavrao Samritwar, District President Hansraj Undirwade, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Pradeep Bhaisare, Mahila Aghadi’s Surekhatai Barsagde, Jyoti Undirwade, City President Anil Barsagde, District Secretary Ashok Khobragade, Dilip Wakde, Jeevan Atram, Tukaram Ramteke, Gopal Chaudhary and other activists were present.
