Gadchiroli Sept. 3 (District Correspondent) The All India Republican Party has extended its full support to the ongoing no work agitation of the contract employees working under National Health Mission (NHM) and has demanded that these employees be included in the regular government services as per GR dated March 14, 2024.

The office bearers of the party visited the site of the agitation in district hospital premises this afternoon and discussed the issue in detail with the employees’ leaders. It is very unfortunate that the government is not implementing its own GR regarding inclusion of the employees even after 18 months. This is a clear-cut injustice on the employees who are already suffering from the financial hardships due to negligible wages, said Mr. Rohidas Raut, central vice president of the Republican Party while speaking during this visit.

The contract employees have been agitating for the last 16 days despite the heavy rains and several difficulties and the government should consider their issue on priority, he said.

The government should immediately solve the issue and give relief to the employees, Raut demanded. The health services in the district have adversely affected as many of the employees are abstaining from their duties, he pointed out. The employees have been putting their efforts and rendering necessary services to the people despite severe hardships. The government should therefore consider their demands without any further delay and resolve the issue, he stated.

The Republican Party will take up the issue with the state government, Raut promised. Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, district president, Prin. Prakash Dudhe, regional vice president, Pradeep Bhaisare, Assembly chief were also present. Employees leaders Jitendra Kotgale, Rajkumar Dewke, Vaishali Bobate, Dr. Prashant Dhawde, Varsha Kolte, Ravikiran Bhadange, Dr. Shilpa Kohle discussed the issue.
