Gadchiroli Oct. 17 (District Correspondent) Adiwasi Gramin Sahitya Sanskruti Mandal, Gadchiroli distributed free food and pure drinking water to the people visiting Dhammachakra at Chandrapur on the occasion of Dhammachakra Anuvartan Din.
The lakhs of Buddhist followers visit Dikshabhoomi Chandrapur from various districts. For the convenience of the visitors, Mr. Rahul Pendharkar of the Mandal had taken this initiative.
Dikshabhoomi is a major Buddhist pilgrimage site for Buddhists in India at Chandrapur and Nagpur. At Chandrapur, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar had organized the conversion programme on 16 October, 1956 in which more than 300,000 of his followers were converted to Buddhism.
President of the organization Rahul Pendharkar, Tina Urade, Priti Kulsange, Rakesh Nimsarkar and others cooperated for the success of the program.
